I do not know if people recommend, and I wouldn't know for sure because I haven't actually tried them before, but if I were to buy my first ones I might consider the Loxx straplocks. I looked into them a while back and thought that i would buy my first locks there if I ever had the money and the need for them. Check them out. I think it's called Loxx.

oh and btw the pro i think is that the strap will be stable and wouldn't slip off, let's say during a gig or any time you are playing while standing. It is possible for the strap to fall off from the guitar and there would be potential for the guitar to be damaged by falling on the ground. Not completely sure but I think that is the pro. Cons, i don't know much about. maybe you have to pay extra for something that might not be necessary for your setting. Maybe for those, including me, that are careful wouldn't need the lox as much.

Loxx are good. So are Dunlop. I've used them both and like them.

yeah, i have a set of dunlops, and really like them, but for me, who has quite a low budget, they get quite expensive.... thats why i was asking, mainly to see whether there were any cheaper, but good working locks

I'm not sure if Loxx are any cheaper, but they must have a larger advertising budget, from what I've seen. They make a good case (if you can believe the marketing) for being the best straplocks on the market. But I never had an complaints about my Dunlops.

I've got some Cactus picks, but I find that I prefer the smooth picks, because I can adjust my grip easier. But if you have trouble holding onto picks, Cactus will solve that problem.

I'd be terrified, playing it, that I'd scratch the finish. Kind of like those folks who park their new car in two parking spots to try to avoid dents.

Very elegant. I like the fret inlay.
