Hi, Martin... Of course, as someone who doesn't realise the fullness of your work, I'm listening but not hearing... As I need sound, I'm texting whilst the sound is playing... My left eye, which is the region where I hit the earth at plus seventy km's an hour after a man with a knife kinda abducted me after I hiked a lift with him back in 1981/2 ... so, yes, I'm finding it hard to listen to EarthLife ... I've always felt that I was dead after I connected with the tar, and my prayer was answered and now I wander on my personal firmament ... Maybe I am totally insane and jumping to conclusions, but, being here in my old haunt which I call home is comfortable... I can't understand why I can't hear anything but me... which is strange ... just my own thoughts echoing back to me and a strange headache... There is something wrong, I answer myself ... But, yes, the picture looks wonderful from a child's point of view... Wait, I heard a hum ... Just one... now another ... but from a grownup point of view I wouldn't be caught dead in that forest scene... Oh, darn... but, yes, I hear music now and the player is 6.43 ... IS there something wrong with me? Am I really in the next-next life? What am I supposed to do in this next-next life? I don't ever want to play the victim role again, ever... Darned spoiled it for me forever ... How can People murder People? What is wrong with them? Anyways, that was my experience now with the silence... now it's just oppressive and I feel foolish... I honestly don't get it ... Do you even know?

Hi Raine, be happy and know that you're loved.

Hi Raine, yep we all have memories and "history". We wouldn't be human if we didn't. The way I see it is, I'm not my past; I'm me, today. So I refuse to let the past control me and instead focus on the future. As an aside, I'll upload a piece called "Earthlife," which I composed for a friend who asked me to write something for him to relax by and which I see as a counter to Burnt World. Let me know what you think. Cheers, Martin.

Hi Raine, thanks so much for your kind comments. It's nice to get any feedback at all, but especially nice to get good feedback! Music is so special to me because it speaks directly to my soul; which means that all my music communicates a message from my soul - one of the reasons why I sometimes I'm reluctant to share my music. It feels like I'm standing stark naked before the world. No biggie, I'll get over it :-) I am so pleased my music means something to you. I have something like 60 or 70 pieces of music I've composed that I guess I'll upload gradually, so stay tuned! Stay well, and know that you're special. Cheers, Martin. Oh, and feel free to delete this post if you want, or tell me to.

Hi! Thanks for understanding! (I am comfortable being naked in the World (except for the posts I made with references about how your latest song burned my soul - i feel that those are the bones and ashes of my life and yes, I'd like them deleted, if you will, please xxx I can't find a way to delete them...) but, back to how I manage to keep feeling comfortable in my nakedness: I just put myself in the garden before all hell broke loose... I like Genesis Chapter One and like to keep it that way for myself ... It's a bit harsh for some, but a few have come to understand that I'm not changing ... Anyways, I'm so glad for the baring of the fleshiness which I shared somehow with the Universe in going up in flames... but, like the phoenix, am getting less and less surprised at how cold the light in my eye is becoming... oh, well, that's life... So, please, Martin, if you would delete our conversation, I'd appreciated it very much xxx Thanks a mill xxx Glad the memories are intact xxx

When my step-Dad passed away on the 4th of January this year, I was totally in shock! It's horrid when life goes wrong, but when life ends it's even worse, but, on the bright side, I hear and feel (I've always been on the sensitive side) that he's doing fine on the Other Side! In my sorrow and elation I did this pic to commemorate his memory to that time in my life when I had to say goodbye and hello in one breath, and remember with awe the adventures I've had all because he bought me a guitar when I was 12 years old! A Yamaha Classical guitar, 6 string GUT, and his spirit is now ONE with the Eternal and life goes on! And the music keeps playing, as long as I want it to! And I ain't stopping the music, f'sure!

Hello there! How melodic! Has drama and romance... Lovely work! I'm pleasantly surprised! I love the use of the stereo... Feels like I'm in a movie and watching it unfold! Have you ever had any of your music used in films?

Hey Raine. Yep, the WWW opened up lots of opportunities but like you say, everyone's willing to help but nothing's for free. It's one of the reasons we set up MelodyFusion in the first place. To HELP musicians. For FREE. Because musicians are the last people who can afford to pay, pay, pay. There are some genuine people out there, but there are also waaaay too many leeches who don't really give a damn about you or your music, just about making money off the back of your talents. Oh, and I may just come back to you to get some advice (tricks) on WWW. But probably not going to do anything until the new year - crazy busy time of the year for me. Take care, Martin.

Hello there! How you and Yours doing? I hope all is good! As for me, I had a kak start to Christmas and my birthday on the 18th, by a stupid BMW doing an illegal uturn on a highway and killing my little 12 year old friend, Micky... It was God-Awful and I'm still reeling! Plus, then, on the 4th Jan, my Step-Dad had a fatal heart-attack and I'm still spinning even faster, right at the edge of this reality... It's scary on that edge, because there seems to be this helluva dark and endless abyss and on the other side of it, as if one could jump, there's scariness... Total terror... I could feel it in all of my being and fortunately I was pulled back... God loves me, thank Goodness... He just showed it to me and it's complikated, like the cookie advert... Dunno if you saw that advert... so cute: the kid and the Oreo biscuit and her Dad... He wanted a bite of her biscuit dipped in her milk and she just says: it's complicated... Yup, have to keep in the light of love and laughter and not succumb to the horrors that skirt on the outer borders of sanity... Still feel like a prisoner and it's horrid... How do you feel about parents allowing their kid to take a sip or three of their alcohol in a bar/restaurant? I was horrified, and as the only witness who was glared at and received the silent dare to say anything... Ouch, oh, for a ticket to anywhere...

Hey Raine, just seen your message and it's 4 days old already . Bhaaaaad me for not checking my messages more often! Sounds like you've had a rough start to the New Year. Me, when I cop flack, I talk to Music. Music, my friend, my confidant, my psychologist, my saviour, my perspective corrector. And mostly because I love creating. Creating something out of nothing. Creating something that has meaning. For me there's something deep spiritual, forward-looking, about creating. Anyway, that's what I think, but I'm rambling now. Hope life's smiling on you. Martin.

Hi, Martin... You think you've been bad? Gees, I saw your message ages ago, and couldn't read it properly, so shelved it and then time swept by until now, I was able to read and comfortably digest your message to me... Well, Life is definitely smiling, and that's lovely, because it's smiling all around me, not only to me! It's awesome! Getting over Death has been hard, as usual, but it's easier each time as I know more or less that no one and nothing dies... It's all safe and sound in God's Heart of Hearts, and where I feel safe and sound, myself. Took a while to learn that! I've met a wonderful young lady who sings like a nightingale... I mean, soon I believe she will be releasing an album, and she's just awesome! I've seen one or two of her videos and last night (an hour and a half ago it turned midnight!), I was with her at my karaoke night at the bar down the road and she sang, eventually! People came from the furtherest reaches of the bar to see and hear her... It was so awesome! And she's lovely! I can't wait for her success to take root in her and our lives. She's very enriching in conversation as well. A lovely girl. I'll keep you posted! As for me, well, I did a quick vid but what I really was doing was showing off my brand new shoes to the crowd at the bar! I fell in love with a pair of shoes last December and asked Hubby to support me for about two months so I could buy them! They're kinda way out colourful, but so darling to me! I'll post a pic for you All to see. The vid of me trying to sing I'LL NEVER FALL IN LOVE AGAIN is the vid I did... I just posted it here. Also, another thing I dared to do was, at Reverbnation, to pay one dollar to distribute one of my songs to six different distributors! I thought it would be awesome, and even awesomer was the fact that I did it with four other songs, too! It's so cool to know that I've got music on Deezer, iTunes, Spotify, etc. Nice, eh? But that's the downside of being one's own promotor/manager/comewhatmay/etc. I have to fork out the money! Ah, but it's all good fun in the end! It's Hubby's birthday today! Hope you have a super time ahead! Warmest wishes, raine and pierre

My only haunt, my favourite hide-away - RA SPORTSBAR was my outing (15.2.2018) from 6 - 9 pm, karaoke every Thursday, and I had received my coveted pair of shoes (I asked Hubby to please support me for about two months so I could afford them!) on Valentine's Day and so wanted to show them off! I love them so much! (https://goo.gl/DoZbJd), they just do it for me! Anyways, also wanted to sing I'LL NEVER FALL IN LOVE AGAIN and record it, so came prepared! It was a really special evening for me as two of my friends/neighbours came around later and we had a ball! Thanks as always for all Your support - enjoy! :-}

Thanks, Martin! Awesome of you to pop around! I've been dealt a blow to the ego, though... I met a girl who sings like a nightingale and an artist who paints like she's programmed to perfection... so, now i'm just an arts and crafts girl... who loves to sing in the shower... ah, but i'm not bowed... I'm just saying that The Universe loves to make me feel loved even though I'm not perfect, if you can swing that around! It's almost like experiencing life growing in an evolution of my dreams - they're coming true, but not like I ever imagined - they're coming true through the youthful ones... who would've thought? Anyways, hope this finds you and Yours well. All good here. Taking a nice break from the music world and settled into being arty and crafty. I'm quite happy to sit in my factory which once was my music and art studio, 'churning' out little flat marbles into fridge magnets sporting some of my artworks which have... ah, let me not frustrate myself by trying to explain... here's the link to the vid: https://youtu.be/C9dJ5i7s2cc Hope you're weathering the storms well and enjoying the lovely days and nights afforded yous. All okay here. Starting to feel the pull of Autumn into the cold vortex of Winter... Not looking forward to that, but, I know it happens - like a hiding one is promised... So glad you like my shoes! I'm so over the Moon with them!
