About Track: This one just started with a drum track chosen by Doug, then recorded for just a few minutes. Then he just laid down whatever bass line he felt like playing. Then, I studied it and played rhythm gtr. Then another gtr fill in track, then sang 1 vocal. Studied a bit more then laid some leads....then finally, laid slide gtr at the end. We had no idea at any point....just exactly what would come out of this little adventure....all in all, a very fun way to build a song..!!

Nice guitar blues, Steve! It is your habitat ))) where you don't need to switch your brain. Your soul will tell everything automatically ;-)

Thanks Slava...! The guitar I used on this one used to belong to the bass player for Buck Owens. An old "Epiphone Riviera" hollow body. I had never recorded with it before.....it surprised me on this song....!!

A Musicmaster bass? Haven't seen one of those in a while. I used to own a Mustang bass. Love those short-scale basses. Great playing, cool jazzy lick just before the slide comes in--and a very nice tone on that guitar!

Yo Rob....I actually do have a Mustang bass in the exact same color! It's late 60s...and the Musicmaster is early 70s. They have a certain sweet warmth and "bigness" that belies their size. I'm glad you caught that outside lick...I put it in just for you. You know me, gotta have at least one twisted phrase in there..!
