Martin Robinson : Zambezi

Zambezi

Artist: Martin A Robinson

Genre: Classical

About Track: The first tentative rains in the upper catchment of Northern Zambia form trickles that coalesce into streams, which form rivers, which become the mighty Zambezi River thundering over Victoria Falls, through a rugged gorge and eventually into the placid waters of Lake Kariba, with reflections of trees, hills in the background, hippos and fish eagles.

Hello there! How melodic! Has drama and romance... Lovely work! I'm pleasantly surprised! I love the use of the stereo... Feels like I'm in a movie and watching it unfold! Have you ever had any of your music used in films?

Hey Raine. Yep, the WWW opened up lots of opportunities but like you say, everyone's willing to help but nothing's for free. It's one of the reasons we set up MelodyFusion in the first place. To HELP musicians. For FREE. Because musicians are the last people who can afford to pay, pay, pay. There are some genuine people out there, but there are also waaaay too many leeches who don't really give a damn about you or your music, just about making money off the back of your talents. Oh, and I may just come back to you to get some advice (tricks) on WWW. But probably not going to do anything until the new year - crazy busy time of the year for me. Take care, Martin.

Hello there! How you and Yours doing? I hope all is good! As for me, I had a kak start to Christmas and my birthday on the 18th, by a stupid BMW doing an illegal uturn on a highway and killing my little 12 year old friend, Micky... It was God-Awful and I'm still reeling! Plus, then, on the 4th Jan, my Step-Dad had a fatal heart-attack and I'm still spinning even faster, right at the edge of this reality... It's scary on that edge, because there seems to be this helluva dark and endless abyss and on the other side of it, as if one could jump, there's scariness... Total terror... I could feel it in all of my being and fortunately I was pulled back... God loves me, thank Goodness... He just showed it to me and it's complikated, like the cookie advert... Dunno if you saw that advert... so cute: the kid and the Oreo biscuit and her Dad... He wanted a bite of her biscuit dipped in her milk and she just says: it's complicated... Yup, have to keep in the light of love and laughter and not succumb to the horrors that skirt on the outer borders of sanity... Still feel like a prisoner and it's horrid... How do you feel about parents allowing their kid to take a sip or three of their alcohol in a bar/restaurant? I was horrified, and as the only witness who was glared at and received the silent dare to say anything... Ouch, oh, for a ticket to anywhere...

Managed, through prayer, to get on board a mystical flight and woke up on a revolving soft cloud of bedding and eased into the day! Nothing is impossible! Feeling better now eating icecream melting fast in the heat of the air! Awesome! Have a super day!

Hey Raine, just seen your message and it's 4 days old already . Bhaaaaad me for not checking my messages more often! Sounds like you've had a rough start to the New Year. Me, when I cop flack, I talk to Music. Music, my friend, my confidant, my psychologist, my saviour, my perspective corrector. And mostly because I love creating. Creating something out of nothing. Creating something that has meaning. For me there's something deep spiritual, forward-looking, about creating. Anyway, that's what I think, but I'm rambling now. Hope life's smiling on you. Martin.

Hi, Martin... You think you've been bad? Gees, I saw your message ages ago, and couldn't read it properly, so shelved it and then time swept by until now, I was able to read and comfortably digest your message to me... Well, Life is definitely smiling, and that's lovely, because it's smiling all around me, not only to me! It's awesome! Getting over Death has been hard, as usual, but it's easier each time as I know more or less that no one and nothing dies... It's all safe and sound in God's Heart of Hearts, and where I feel safe and sound, myself. Took a while to learn that! I've met a wonderful young lady who sings like a nightingale... I mean, soon I believe she will be releasing an album, and she's just awesome! I've seen one or two of her videos and last night (an hour and a half ago it turned midnight!), I was with her at my karaoke night at the bar down the road and she sang, eventually! People came from the furtherest reaches of the bar to see and hear her... It was so awesome! And she's lovely! I can't wait for her success to take root in her and our lives. She's very enriching in conversation as well. A lovely girl. I'll keep you posted! As for me, well, I did a quick vid but what I really was doing was showing off my brand new shoes to the crowd at the bar! I fell in love with a pair of shoes last December and asked Hubby to support me for about two months so I could buy them! They're kinda way out colourful, but so darling to me! I'll post a pic for you All to see. The vid of me trying to sing I'LL NEVER FALL IN LOVE AGAIN is the vid I did... I just posted it here. Also, another thing I dared to do was, at Reverbnation, to pay one dollar to distribute one of my songs to six different distributors! I thought it would be awesome, and even awesomer was the fact that I did it with four other songs, too! It's so cool to know that I've got music on Deezer, iTunes, Spotify, etc. Nice, eh? But that's the downside of being one's own promotor/manager/comewhatmay/etc. I have to fork out the money! Ah, but it's all good fun in the end! It's Hubby's birthday today! Hope you have a super time ahead! Warmest wishes, raine and pierre
