This is Maasvlakte 2 near Hoek van Holland in the Netherlands. They added more harbor, expanded out into the ocean. This is a brandnew beach :)

I loved the Netherlands. I learned that "If it ain't Dutch, it ain't much" when I was there. Hope you had or are having a great time!

Rodger, so true. I was back at my folks from Dec 22 through Jan 6. 't was nice and much needed mommy-daddy time :0

Well, I can't say I know where exactly Hoek van Holland is, but my grandfather from the Netherlands had the last name Hoekstra. I know...it's a desperate connection, but I really like the looks of that beach! :)

Nice! I'm guessing this was in Fresno (?). I used to know Roger Perry, and though I don't think I ever met Mike, he's a facebook friend of a few of my old musician buddies in Fresno.

When did you leave Fresno? Did you know any of these guys: Ron Morse, Don Ramirez, Blake Jones, Nate Butler? (Mike's Facebook friends I know).

Ha! What a small world. About 1990, Don and I worked together in an 8-piece R&B/Blues band called, "Rapid Transit." Don was on guitar. I was keyboardist/main vocalist/horn arranger. Blake and I (along with Ron Morse) started our first band together in Jr. High. My last active year on the Fresno music scene was 1994. I played with Blake in "The Pretentious Pencils," and did a number of "Doors" gigs with Nate that year.

Hey Steve, miss jamming with you. Practice tonight. Steve Sassano is the bass player now and Mike Johnson is our new drummer. Been writing like a mad man again. Two new songs with Chris. House of Tears and Falling Down. We are trying to get them recorded. As soon as I figure out this site I'll start posting. I've got a Rascal D3 now. So I can record everything to an sd card. Nice tool to use For writing.

A wonderful laid back Jazz feel to this piece, as always beautifully played and sung. Yes....I've been having problems with gravity issues for a few years now :) What used to hold up my chin (well nearly) now nearly hold up my knees :):)

I just spent a little time listening to my wife Nancy lamenting how it's just not possible to simply state your opinion on Facebook without having someone upset with you in less than 5 minutes! It's so nice to be able to socialize here on melody fusion without that crap and all the political correctness! Here we experience love and connectivity through music ... Hallelujah !! Happy Valentine's Day to our wonderful Melody Fusion Family ...πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ‘πŸŽΈπŸŽΆπŸ˜Ž

Back at you! And, yes, sometimes people just want to fight on certain social media pages. I've been tempted to post, "I have an opinion," just to see who gets mad at me :)

Stevie, Rob, yes it is nice. I believe if we keep focusing on the common good - here music - and not feel the urge to have to proclaim, be right, get approval, stir the pot, etc, we may just get along better. Thanks for holding that space, gentlemen!

Mr. Darby!! We figured out the Jingle Contest, and you already saw that Kyle Schultz won. Great jingle! Wanted to make sure you knew you made 6th place. One of the comments on your jingle was "one of the most interesting was Rob Darby because his song shifts from folk to rock even classical". It was a tough race. Thank you so much for playing with us!
