You do this style very well, though I suspect you're holding back in parts of the solo. Great job setting the Scriptures to melody.

Rob....I was hoping to evoke the flavor of a steel guitar with the melody laid out in double stops on this one....in keeping with a country swing

Wow ! Beautiful creation here ! Almost baroque at times....so very pretty and compelling !!

Thanks, Stevie. I don't think I've ever had my music called, "compelling." I like it! I love baroque music, so that influence might just slip in there. Funny, I'm working on a "B" section for this, and it includes a trick I picked up from Vivaldi: Say you have the chord progression, C-F-D-G. The bass can climb up chromatically if you start on the third of the first chord: E-F-F#-G. A while back I bought an M-Audio Venom synth on ebay. They're cheap because nobody wants to spend time re-programming the horrible presets(probably why they flopped). But, starting with the sound waves, I managed to build the sound for the main melody here and for the "recorders" out of the thing. I've also written a fake orchestral arrangement for this. I'll be posting it in a few seconds probably.

That is pretty good. I don't even know how to classify it.

Thanks, CJO. I don't know how to classify it, either. I guess it's a good thing I'm not doing any serious marketing.

Very nice! Love the message of our dependence on our merciful Lord. I also really like the vocal counterpoint at the end.

Thanks, Rob. Please share it, if you like it. I have re-written the verses, so what is uploaded here is not the most current version. I don't have a recording of the updated version, though, and if anyone likes the original, I don't mind!

Yes, the lead guitar goes off into the woods toward the end - probably should have left that out. And I don't know what happens to the drums at the end.

Hey, Thomas, just listened to that song. It's good. Captured the love of a father very well. And, yes, it's hard to forget those things we with we'd handled differently.

I accidentally deleted this track, and with it the comments that had been left. So Robert, thanks for the feedback. I tend to use non-traditional structures in my songs (not intentionally), but I know exactly what you mean about having an established chorus. If you want to re-post your comment, please do.

I find the structure of this song refreshing--very nice! The melody is strong, and the use of Biblical references is very artistically done.

Not sure what it is, but this song has a Lou Reed circa mid-1970's feel to it - around the time he released "Transformer". Very nice!
