I recently went to see Jake Loggins jam on his guitar at the 1st & Main Towne Center as part of a FREE "Summer Concert Series."
Jake Loggins (who, as far as I know, has no relation to Kenny Loggins) is an incredible local talent when it comes to the blues guitar. There's a little park area right inside the shopping center where Nor'Wood Development (the company that owns the shopping center) rolled up a trailer with a sound stage on it where the band played, and we all sat in lawn chairs watching the free show in the warm sunshine.
Jake played several of his original songs from his album "Have a Nice Day," as well as a few covers of old blues songs from people like Elmore James, and one of the best renditions of Jimi Hendrix's "Red House."
If you can ever get to see Jake Loggins, I highly recommend doing so. He is a phenomenal guitar player, and it's a show well worth seeing.
